Check it out folks, I’ve released a new cue from the series I’m working on ‘Safelight 19′ (check the bandcamp link at the bottom of this post). This cue is part of a group of cues being written for those nefarious Ferals! Enjoy, download and share (for free).

Summer Update
Hi everyone!
So you may have noticed I have a cool new website (if not go check it out!), made courtesy of the talented Greg Smith of GJS Design - he does some amazing work so he’s worth checking out if you’re in need of a website.
I finally finished the score for Deep Seeded! Unfortunately due to bad timing on my part, I wasn’t able to contribute as much as I would have liked, but overall I’m very happy with the way things turned out. A great cast and crew really helped turn this low-budget horror into something much bigger than it’s financial limits! For those of you who haven’t seen the trailer, enjoy…
Here’s a clip of the soundtrack used in a particularly brutal scene…
I’m still not sure how the film is going to be distributed, so for up to date info go here and become a fan!
I’m very pleased to announce that I’m on board to compose for the new series ‘Safelight 19′ (check out the trailer on the front page of the site!). A post-apocalyptic drama set in the near-future after a devastating comet-strike, this is shaping up to be an excellent series and the score is already starting to take shape! In the next few weeks I’ll be posting some examples from it, so keep checking back, and if you’re interested in watching the series develop, follow the director on twitter (@darrenscook), or subscribe to his blog by clicking here. You can also follow the series on twitter by using @Safelight19 or by becoming a fan on facebook.
Here’s some photos from the recent Comic Convention in London, which I attended as a guest of Scruffy Bear Productions, the team behind Safelight 19…
I’ve just made a facebook fan page which no doubt will be less neglected than this blog… if you’re feeling generous please click here and become a fan, I’d be very grateful!
Other big news… I’m now represented the amazing Gloria Soto of the Max Steiner Agency. Massive thanks to Gloria for all her hard work and faith, and also a big thank you to Charles Deenen of EA for the introduction and support… you guys rock!
Fans of US TV might also have heard a couple of tracks of mine being played on the show ‘Bad Girls Club’ on the oxygen channel. Keep an ear out!
I’ve just finished working on a bunch of tracks for those cool people over at West One Music, so no doubt you’ll be hearing a lot more of my songs on TV very soon. Once again massive thank you to Beth W over at IFMP for ALL that she’s done (you’re awesome B!) and also to Tom and the team at West One for putting up with me, and for their continued hard work.
Thanks for reading guys, I’ll leave you with these new tracks…

Hello Again from the Bunker of John Harvey!
Hello all,
Just a quick update…
Received a lot of mail regarding my apparent current preference for writing songs over score… so I’ve simplified my bandcamp site to stop you guys complaining
If you want to receive tracks which my ego doesn’t deem worthy for the showreel, send me an email and I’ll make sure you get a link to download tracks which will suit your taste!
Still working away on loads of projects, Deep Seeded should be coming out shortly, really excited about that one. Also have a big announcement to make soon… will be working on several awesome projects with the renowned British director Darren Cook… I can’t say too much at this point… However I will say this… it wouldn’t be Science Fyction if you were to hear a lot more of my works on a certain channel…
I’m now working with IFMP LA, Northstar Publishing UK, Sync Tracks London, M2Q Montréal and am about to start working with a very big London Publisher, so some more great news to announce very soon!
I’d also like to reserve a special thank you to a great friend of mine Teo. Teo and I got to know each other through email contact, and have been in touch for about two years now. Teo likes some of the music I write (he’s also my most honest critic, a role I am truly thankful he has filled) and has been good enough to make several webpages about my works (including a LastFM page and a YouTube Channel). Teo is a writer, and a great one at that… I read through pretty much his entire site ‘Cool Awesome Movies’ and had my sides splitting throughout… Recently however, Teo has decided to write more serious material and has been picked up by a great publisher for a work of Sci-Fi he is currently making (about time too!). Why not do me a favour and show Teo some love? This guy is incredibly talented and a very interesting person in general… pop-by his site and say hello, you won’t regret it!
Anyway Ladies and Germs, I leave you with a YouTube Clip kindly made by Teo of one of the latest tracks I’ve made… Hope you’re all good

Quick update…
So… I’m promising nothing with this blog… However here are a few updates with what I’m up to…
I’m working on a gory new film due out next year called ‘Deep Seeded’, more info to follow…
I’m now employed by CBS as a songwriter…
There’s a bunch of other stuff but I’ll type it up later. How are you Internet people?
Write to me guys, I love hearing from you! Especially if you love/hate what I do
Best

First mini-blog…
Hello internets!
I’ll be posting links to tracks I’ve made, interesting things I’ve found, and probably the odd picture of a cat in a hilarious predicament. The first blog I made died on it’s arse after two updates, let’s see if this lasts a wee while longer!
